Hi, I am Olga...
Moving to Canada was one of the options to start a new career and new life. Sounds ambitious? Maybe, considering that majority of immigrants, who move to Canada strive to get into the field of their profession. Funny enough, credential recognition and a lack of Canadian experience are officially recognized as major problems for all immigrants to get a job in the field of their profession. In reality, intolerance or arrogance of employers, insufficient fluency in the English language, along with tremendous differences in work ethics and difficulty to network, play a huge role in immigrants' inabilities to apply themselves in the field of their profession in Canadian context. As a result, unemployment rate (UR) for immigrants is much higher than average UR in Canada, regardless of the fact that there are more than 60 % of immigrants with post secondary education comparing with only 44% of Canadians. |
